WICREATIONS FOR MEMENTO MORI

The acclaimed choreographer of modern dance, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has returned to Paris with the peerless Flanders Ballet. Ten hoists from WIcreations set in motion three luminary circular discs above the artists as they brought a fresh interpretation to ‘Memento Mori’, the ancient contemplation on human mortality and the transient nature of earthly goods and pleasures. The delicate fluidity and subtle synchronicity between the moving circular set pieces above and the performers below created an effortless yet powerful visualisation to the production.
