MYLENE FARMER NEVERMORE 2023/2024

For the third time already we are one of the major suppliers to the Mylène Production. For the NEVERMORE tour WI technically supported the stage design by bringing in 2 massive rotating bridges and 4 WI elevators operational in the famous ‘tombeau’ scene. The tour opened June 3^rd 2023 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille. The stage screen comes alive with a huge flock of crows. The first of her many hits Désenchantée immediately sets the audience on fire, while in the back the giant screen slowly parts, revealing the ruins of a huge cathedral. Game on.

2 ROTATING BRIDGES

During the entire first part, our rotating bridges enable super star Mylène to fly over the crowd, hoisted meters above the ground. Both bridges are WIRENTAL. Bridge 1 has been upgraded in our warehouses to comply with the most recent stringent safety regulations.

Result: a complete make-over of the original one as to hydraulics, controller functionalities, software etc. WI in fact only kept the mechanical parts. Let’s say: only the steel survived. Bridge 2 is the brand new one.

Both bridges are designed, fabricated, engineered and tested in our warehouses in Belgium.

4 ELEVATORS

Out of our rental 4 WI TP03 elevators in an A + B formation or 2x2 to support the telescopic lift structure for the tombeau scene lifting up Myléne from out of a tomb. It was initially planned that for the show's finale at Relight the Stars, 2x 4 off TP03 lift masts would be used to take the 14 dancers off stage at the end of the show, but the production decided otherwise so these lifts were eventually not used.

VISUAL WALHALLA

Nothing compares to Mylène. Her visually stunning show is a powerful multi-layered statement worked out beyond perfection.

Impressive dynamic content for this Gothic inspired visually stunning show full of death and resurrection ‘symbolica’. Powerfully supported by the pounding sound of the musicians led by Olivier Schultheis and 14 acrobatic dancers to assist Queen M in all her rhythmic songs with a hyper precise choreography.

Mylène aged 60+ is special, intriguing and unique. Dynamite queen and icon in France with a growing international fanbase. To be continued. The Nevermore tour picks up fall 2024 to conclude with the apotheosis October 1^st in the Stade de France Paris. Première of The Nevermore film with images of the show at Groupama stadion Lyon is planned for November 2024. Wi are part of it. #wiareproud #proudtobewi
