Calogéro - Tournée FR 2014

French artist Calogéro adores moving video screens and creatively deploys them in any possible way. Like huge wings to duplicate the band members or just as giant lighting objects to set the stage on fire.

For this original project WICREATIONS designed 6 rectangular video screens each 2,5m x 1,8m and weighing 214kg. This was the easy part. To move them we consecutively designed 1 motor box per screen, each box containing 4 chain hoists and a TP03 rotator on top. This way every corner of each screen could be lifted separately and the  combination with the rotator ensures 360° position radius. Hanging this set-up on a WI Track opened an extra array of creative options. Good to know: the track was integrated in our stack truss for fast and easy touring. The central Ø5,4m custom video screen which is also movable, has been specially designed for touring purposes as it entirely fits inside 2 dollies. Special connections reduce load times to the absolute minima, a crucial parameter for all tours and in particular large world tours.
