ANNA VISSI LIVE AT OAKA 2026
Concerts & Touring
On 26 September 2026, Greek superstar Anna Vissi gathered more than 95,000 fans at Athens Olympic Stadium OAKA for a one night production on an exceptional scale. Designed specifically for the stadium, the show combined massive visual elements, top technology and sophisticated staging. Objective: deliver an immersive concert experience for every single spectator.
Wherever you sat or stood in this immense stadium, it always felt like front row.
FULL SHOW EXPERIENCE
This amazing 360° visual impact was realized thanks to 3 major projection areas: the impressive 64m wide and 20m high LED cylinder – the central feature of this show – and 2 additional screens left & right. Two extra stages B and C were strategically positioned to extend the show into the outer sections of the stadium allowing the artist and her performers to move beyond the central main stage and establish the closest possible connection with the crowds seated on the left and right periphery.
B and C stage automation for a landmark stadium production
INPUT
We had been the automation partner already for the Anna Vissi show the year before (ANNA VISSI – KALLIMARMARO 2025, 13 September 2025, at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens) and this year again WI had the honour to join a very talented production team for the technical delivery of the B and C stages combining automated lifting technology with custom engineered stage structures. From design and in-house fabrication to full test builds and onsite operation.
SATELLITE STAGES
Both stage areas incorporated purpose designed circular decking including dedicated sections for lighting headers. While the B-stage integrated the SP12 lifting system, the C-stage combined its 4 PC02 lifts with static decking to achieve the required configuration.
The lifting platforms and surrounding deck structures were designed and manufactured in-house by WICREATIONS. Close collaboration between engineering, design and fabrication ensured that the bespoke components matched the production requirements and integrated with the automated equipment.
TESTING
Before delivery to Athens, the complete assembly underwent a full test build at our facility in Heist-op-den-Berg. A ‘pre-production verification’ to allow us to thoroughly inspect the mechanical assemblies and motion software flow in our controlled workshop environment.
TEAM
Around 20 WI people contributed to the project throughout its development and preparation with 6 WICREATIONS crew members travelling to site for delivery and operational support.
During the performance, the lifting systems were controlled locally. A dedicated operator and spotter were assigned to each stage to coordinate movements and execute the show cues.
CHALLENGES
Mainly logistic, scale related and historically defined. There hasn’t been another show this complex on this scale, bringing the Greek music industry to this level with a Greek artist. It is mainly thanks to a very talented ‘equippe’ of mainly UK suppliers and creatives that succeeded in blending with talented local firms that this – at first, second & third sight – amazing, some call it insane, project has become such an overwhelming success. From the video content and lighting through to the set, production and staging design: the Anna Vissi show was a landmark show by global standards.
