Once again we joined the Warriors of The Skull Dynasty who united for a new edition of the annual Masters of Hardcore (MOH) event which called hardcore D’n’B worshippers from all over Benelux to imbibe the vibe at the Brabanthallen in s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). The evening, which lasted until 7 a.m. the following day, also included the shift to CEST (Central European Summer Time).
We provided motion control as a dry hire to client and production company 4 Aces for this event for some years. Once the spec is received, the requested kit is prepped meticulously in the WI warehouse and then dispatched to Den Bosch for the 4 Aces crew to assemble and run for the weekend!
This year the project involved a 7.5 diameter WI circular track with two active track trolleys and four slaves, which were used to drive and move a pair of curved LED screens flown above the DJ booth.
Thirty-two WI hoists were also deployed to move eight video screen pods above the audience into a variety of different positions throughout the event adding dynamics and excitement. It gave the production designers the ability to open up / close down the space and completely change its look and feel according to the mood and the music.
All of this kit was available off-the-shelf from WI. Events like this are a great illustration of how a selection of standard rental products can be used to produce a completely individual solution, ramping up the event’s production values and ensuring everyone in the audience can get the most out of a more creative environment.
