An aerial dance reveals the airport connector

For the opening ceremony of the new connecting passage between the two terminals at Brussels Zaventum Airport, aerial dance specialists Compagnie NEWA performed against two large white walls. These temporarily curtained walls covered up the new airport connector until the end of their acrobatic show.
The new connector was revealed during a spectacular and colourful ceremony watched by His Majesty King Filip and Belgium’s Prime Minister, Charles Michel, who were amongst the special guests.

Our much proven WI-track system - a combination of straight and curved sections - created a path for Compagnie NEWA’s performers to follow. Their rise and fall movements were pre-programmed and controlled via two of our TP3 winches to which they were attached with harnesses.
