We have supplied technical expertise and specialist performer flying winches and rigging to the 2017 edition of Italian musical talent TV series “House Party” presented by Maria De Filippi and other celebrities including singing superstar Laura Pausini. The three episodes were pre-recorded at Cinecitta Studios in Rome and broadcast on Canale 5 just before Christmas. The format is that two main presenters lead each episode and invite various guests to join their team, which is then given a series of creative challenges and tasks to perform whilst confined to a house / enclosed environment – a bit of a Big Brother meets X Factor vibe!

Koen Peeters project managed, working with production company Fascino and the show’s creative director, Giuliano Peparini.

We have worked with the same creative team on another popular Italian musical talent TV show, “Amici” – also presented by Maria De Filippi - for the last four years, establishing a very successful working relationship.

For House Party, We were asked onboard due to our extensive knowledge of and experience in the field of safe performer flying.

Technical production manager Pier Paolo Piacentini commented that we were in fact the only company that could be found that carried the spec of equipment and all the certification needed to meet the very strict regulatory standards implemented throughout the Italian event industry.

The kit supplied was eight of our TP2 winches, six rated at 125 Kgs and two at 250 Kgs, complete with a WI control system. Two Italian speaking WI technicians / operators went to site to run the system for the duration of the six week shooting period.

Koen comments, “It’s a great testament to the time and attention that WI devotes to ensuring all our equipment and working practices conform to the highest standards, which helps in gaining international contracts like this”.

In the last year, Belgium based WI - a leader in the field of entertainment engineering, staging and presentation solutions - has seen the international scope of its work increase steadily. It’s been engaged in innovative projects all across Europe, Russia and the CIS states, the Middle East, the US and Asia.
