WI supplied eight of their WI-rolldrop screens to Italian production company Delamaison for leading fashion brand Calzedonia’s Summer 2018 show in Verona.
WI was contacted by production manager Vittorio Dellacasa, who had worked with the Wicreations equipment previously during a corporate event for telecoms giant TIM. For that one, WI had supplied the kit as a dry hire to IK Project whose crew have all received special WI training to install and operate the machinery.
This time Vittorio approached WI directly where the project was handled by Koen Peeters. A skilled motion crew was once again supplied by IK Project.
WI’s bespoke electric ROLLDROP system is exceptionally smooth and fast - up to 1 metre a second - as well as neat and practical to rig.
The ROLLDROP is concealed within a 400 x 400 mm truss section, and is currently offered in 3 metre, 3.5 metre and 4 metre wide versions with a maximum winding length of 11 metres. The drops can be integrated into the WI motion control system and run together with other automation elements if desired.
On this event, the ROLLDROPS were used to create a 6 metre cubic centrepiece in the middle of the runway with models showcasing Calzedonia’s vibrant and fun Summer 2018 beachwear collection in and around the cube.
The drops raised and lowered while the surfaces were video mapped and fed with logos and other content.
