Studio 54

WI-Elevator gets high

Studio 54 is a major dance event that takes place in the Antwerp sportpaleis. The stage was arranged in the centre, especially for the September 2009 event. The only access to that stage for singers and dancers was via the Wi Elevator that on this occasion had to reach a height of 3.5 m.

One of the other interesting properties of the lift is that it is 2.50 x 2.20 m in size and that it can be extended in half-metre sections. The maximum load can also be increased from 750 to 1500 kg. The maximum load during Studio 54 was a group of 10 male and female dancers. Not wearing much and therefore not too heavy.
