End of june the Ravenna festival in northern Italy staged ‘I due di Figaro’ an opera by Saverio Mercadante. At the end of the production (after the fat lady sang) a 500 kg portal (a complete wall with 2 doors, 8 m high, 12 m long) had to be lifted with a few 2 500 kg hoists. In come our zero speed engines. They made sure that the wall disappeared out of sight, on cue, smoothly and completely shock free. Magnifico!
A huge telescopic elevated turning bridge!

Other configurations possible!
