Natalia Meets The Pointer Sisters
After Belgian vocalist Natalia Druyts joined the Pointer Sisters on stage during several of the "Night Of The Proms" concerts in 2002, the four struck up a solid friendship. The friendship resulted in the four headlining a series of ten sold-out concerts in 2006 as "Natalia Meets The Pointer Sisters" and the release of the single "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves." The ten sold-out concerts took place in the Sportpaleis of Antwerp with approximately 130.000 visitors. Natalia is a Belgian singer who came in second after Peter Evrard in the Belgian finals of "Idol 2003".
We created a large back projection screen which was split-up in small squares. We installed a high-speed roll drop in the centre square of the bottom row to enter the stage. This mechanism was designed and installed in such a way that it wouldn’t interfere with the rear projection. This 220cm “magic door” opened within a second by just pushing the button.
