Chanel - Fall-winter 2010/11 haute couture
Taming the Chanel lion
On July 7th Chanel staged its Fall-Winter 2010/11 Haute Couture collection show in the Grand Palais in Paris, the venue they’ve been using the last few years for their shows. This year they mounted a quite impressive lion on the catwalk (the lion used to be Miss Chanel’s favorite decorative animal and astrological sign). The catwalk was in fact our space floor on which we built some custom made extra’s. These extra parts were designed (and needed) to hold and support the 11 m tall animal. During the show the animal didn’t move an inch.
